Today we had a very special visitor all the way from the North Pole to see the good boys and girls, he must have known they were good and brought them a selection box.

Wear on the March with Kyril’s Army

The Sunderland AFC Branch Liaison Council (BLC) in association with Washington Mind, challenged SAFC fans across the globe to ‘𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙆𝙮𝙧𝙞𝙡’ (MWK).

Starting 11 June 2021, we encouraged fans to get outside and pound those pavements in the name of mental health awareness, as we join our new owner (figuratively speaking) and collectively travel the distance from Marseille to the promised land of Sunderland! (just over 1,000 miles or 1,600km) for the opening game of the season.

108 fans joined in the challenge, walking an amazing 1,187 miles. The event was to promote the direct correlation between exercise and mental wellness. This didn’t have to be strenuous, structured or take a long time, we’ve loved seeing all your photos taken along your walk.

Experts suggest 30 minutes of exercise, at least five days a week, can make a massive difference.

Night with Big Sam

Bought you by IK Promotions, Thursday 25 November 2021 saw Sam Allardyce back in town. Not to take up the manager’s position at Sunderland AFC, but to host “A Night with Big Sam”

Great fun was had by all, and a fabulous £500 + was raised in our raffle.  Thanks to all that bought tickets for the event, raffle tickets, and to those that donated some fantastic prizes.
